Altec A7-XS

I was looking for some info regarding the A7-XS that was sold in Japan in the early eighties. Was this speaker just an inprovement of the A7-X and was the xover point the same e.g.1200Hz. I like the super tweeter mounted under the top edge of the speaker box. It would be interesting on how this A7 sounded as it might clear some points I've noted in this Forum regarding adding a super tweeter to an A7 and at what xover point did the A7-XS achieve this.

Japanese like their sound "crunchy" compared to western ears. A very good example is the Yamaha Professional speakers. They were typically too bright and we had to roll off the top-end.

The vent appears to be around 270 sq. in. Somewhat larger than other A7s.
